The sculpture is an instrument of light, re-imagining the classic Discoball to have a layered interior that
reveals itself through stages of growth. The work explores depth and layering, alongside the artists longtime
research into mechanical linkages.

Equipped with 2 motors and 10 lights, the sculpture is controlled from a lighting booth via DMX. The
system can be choreographed to augment the environment in relationship with the music, moving
between states which are subtle and sculptural to something entirely immersive.
